Raffle Item #1: The Gift of Fine Wine (retail value: $175)
Donors: Phil and Kara Barr

This lot offers a look back in time to 1975, the year CCC was founded. Celebrate this milestone by indulging in two 1975 vintage wines:

  • 1975 Chateau Brane-Cantenac. Chateau Brane-Cantenac is a second-growth estate in the Margaux village of Bordeaux and is among the exceptional properties in the region.  The 1975 Bordeaux vintage is considered classic but taking a long time to reach maturity. Brane Cantenac makes long aging and elegant wines, so there is no vinegar in this bottle. Expect a complex wine that offers perfumed notes of cedar, kirsch, dried berries, herbs, and violets. Recommend decanting 30 minutes prior to drinking.
  • 1975 Chateau Suduiraut.  This half-bottle (375ml) of white dessert wine is from the Bordeaux region of Sauternes, where the French have been making sweet wines for generations. This region was the star of Bordeaux in 1975 making some beautiful long-lasting wines. Expect notes of honeysuckle, ginger, nectarine, and ripe pear in this viscous sweet wine.
