Concord Children’s Center hosts a variety of events throughout the year for our children, families, and the greater Concord community. These events include informational evenings focusing on our curriculum and programs, social gatherings for parents, fundraisers, learning opportunities, and fun events for the whole family. If you want to meet other families, get involved with your child’s school, or learn more about CCC, these events are a great way to do it!

Fall Events
Family Welcome Picnics and Parent Fall Social
CCC kicks off each school year with family picnics at each site and then hosts an all-CCC adult-only social in October at the home of one of our families. We'll be tasting some wines and craft beers at our fall 2018 social, set for Friday, September 29!
Back to School Nights
Parents hear about what their children will be learning during the year at these site-based informational evenings with teachers and administrators.
Concord Bookshop Fundraiser
Local merchant The Concord Bookshop kindly allocates a percentage of all sales on a fall Saturday to CCC -- the 2019 Bookshop fundraiser is set for Saturday, November 2. CCC teachers read books to children while parent volunteers help shoppers select books. It’s a great chance to get a head start on your holiday shopping while supporting CCC. CCC is also featured in the Bookshop window for one week in November -- always a chance for our children to display their artistic talents!
Fall Open Houses
Families interested in enrolling their children in CCC for the next school year can visit each of our sites, ask questions, and pick up an application at this Saturday event, which opens our enrollment season. This year's open houses for the 2019-2020 school year are scheduled for Saturday, November 3.
Winter Events
Winter Family Fundraiser
Some years CCC does one large winter family fundraiser -- usually an ice skating party -- rather than two smaller fall and spring fundraisers. This event is open to all Concord families as well as families from surrounding communities and has a variety of activities for all ages.
Indoor Play Space: 2nd Saturdays
Concord Children's Center and Concord Family Network hold a morning indoor play space at CCC @ West Concord the 2nd Saturday of January, February, and March. Kids engage in informal play and activities, and meet other local families. Recommended for children ages 0 - 6. Information on our 2014 2nd Saturdays program available here.
Babies and Books: 4th Saturdays
Concord Children’s Center and Concord Family Network co-host a monthly "book group” for babies the 4th Saturday of January, February, and March. Each event features a special guest that provides age-appropriate entertainment and tips for fostering early childhood development, with a focus on fostering a life-long love of reading. Recommended for children ages 0 – 24 months old. Information on our 2014 4th Saturdays program available here.
Spring Events
Celebrate Concord Children’s Center
Celebrate Concord Children's Center is our spring community soirée ― this year's event is set for Saturday, March 25, at the Nashawtuc Country Club. Parents, teachers, alumni parents, and Concord community members all come out for this special adults-only evening, which includes a live auction. This year's event will also celebrate CCC Executive Director Pat Nelson and her time at CCC as she prepares to retire. For more information or to get involved with Celebrate Concord Children's Center, please contact CCC Development Coordinator Jennifer Saxe.
